This assignment will be a genre analysis report of a discourse community. The community I have chosen is the vegan community. In short, I would like to demonstrate how the use of blogs is present, and  how this genre influences an audience, and the purpose. All of the sources should be from databases, at least one should be through JSTOR. Please include a minimum of 3 sources. Do not use AI, and check for plagiarism. 
Here are the official instructions:
Write a report of three to four pages that synthesizes what you’ve learned about how and why certain features of structure, design, content, and language are important for this genre.
Submission is between 1000-1200 words long. (Excluding the Reference List at the end of the report)
Includes 3 sections: 
Intro
Analysis
Conclusion
Introduces and describes the discourse community.
Introduces and describes the genre. 
Makes a claim about the relationship between the genre and the discourse community.
Provides evidence of the relationship between the genre and the discourse community with specific quotes, summaries, and/or paraphrases from the primary research stage (genre samples).
Explores what readers and writers accomplish with certain genre features.
Summarizes observations of rhetorical conventions in the genre.
Summarizes observations of structural conventions in the genre.
Summarizes observations of design conventions in the genre.
Summarizes observations of language conventions in the genre.
Explains which genre convention features are resources and which are constraints for the discourse community.
Describes and explains variance in examples of the genre 
Provides evidence with specific quotes, summaries, and/or paraphrases from the secondary research stage (sources about your community/genre and its uses in a specific context). 
Includes “lead in,” “signal” or “framing” language before source information that makes it clear which ideas are yours
Provides APA in-text citations for evidence and examples that are used.
Includes some paragraphs that are linked together with transitions.
Uses double-spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins formatting
Includes APA Reference list at the end of the document citing all resources mentioned in the report (which should include your 3 secondary sources and your 3 genre samples)
Your analysis for your final report should address the following questions:

What discourse community uses the genre in the ways and contexts you’ll be describing?
How important is this genre to the discourse community users?
What ways of thinking does the genre encourage in the discourse community? How?
What & How. 
What are the conventions of structure, design, content, and language in your genre?  Why do you think these conventions are common in the genre? 
What do these genre features help readers and/or writers in your discourse community do? 
What actions do certain features of the genre constrain?
