These instructions reflect a task our writers previously completed for another student. After viewing each of the ten episodes, you will be presented with a series of questions designed to
help build a paper of substantial length. You should exhaustively answer/respond to each of the
questions/prompts below.
“Fear and Trembling” Episode 4
 Begin with a
short paragraph-long summary of the episode, one that utilizes the Summary-
writing Tips presented earlier in the course. Remember: summarize according the THEME(S)
not action nor plot points. Chapter 7 of the textbook discusses theme thoroughly.
 What is the correlation between this episode and its title? Hint: all the titles are associated
with literary works or works of art (paintings and painters, especially).
 We are near the half-way point, what predictions do you have for where this suspenseful
series might go? Are Peggy and Ed, as Lou suggests, “already dead and they just don’t know
it yet”? Or will they come to their senses and go to the authorities? Will the Gearhardts and
K.C. Mafia work together?
 What are Peggy’s transgressions, especially against her husband? That is, detail the many
times she’s dishonest with her husband.
 What are some observations about this episode that you have that you would like to share?
 Easter Egg Hunting: what are some callbacks to the original 1996 movie, Fargo? And for the
Coen Brothers fans in the class, are there any references to other Coen Brothers movies in
this chapter?
