Short Essay #1: America in the 21st Century
The United States has faced many challenges in its 248 year history. In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge facing America as we move forward in the 21st century? This is not an easy question however I want you to think about it, do your best, and look past current events that may be dominating today’s news cycle. 
I have provided links to help you in your decision making but using them is optional. The Hoover Institution and the Heritage Foundation are conservative thinktanks while the Brookings Institution and Center for American Progress are neoliberal.

Your essay needs to be at least 2 pages and answer ALL the question(s) being asked. After you post your essay, reply to two of your classmates’ essays. Provide at least three (3) source to support your positions.
