Wk 2 -Who are My Students and What are My Ethical Obligations to Them?
The Novices and Experts video embedded in this week’s threaded discussion is addressed further in this week’s journal topic.
Please reflect on the ideas shared in that video (and on the related PDF) before watching the second half (the video is coded to start 11 minutes in) of this except from the full documentary, Most Likely to Succeed. Once you have watched that segment think about the connections (potential, missing, unrealized, present, etc.) between the journey to becoming an expert and the things Common Core asks of students and asks us to design learning to meet those standards? How does this connect/correlate/inform/confuse your thinking about designing curriculum now versus at the start of class?
